UAE Tops Global Ranking for Fastest Mobile Internet Speed in 2023, Etisalat Leads the Way

The United
Arab Emirates (UAE) has set a new record, claiming the title for the world's
fastest mobile internet speed, according to the latest report by Ookla, a
leading internet speed testing platform.
Ookla's Speedtest Global Index, which tracks internet speed performance, reveals that the UAE has consistently dominated the charts for most of the first half of 2023. In June, the country reached an impressive download speed of 204.24 Mbps and an upload speed of 22.72 Mbps, securing the top position on five out of six occasions this year. Only in April did they briefly hold the second spot.

The UAE's prowess in internet speed doesn't end with mobile connections. The country also ranked second globally for fixed broadband speed
in June, with an impressive download speed of 239.2 Mbps. Among Arab nations, the UAE claimed the first position.
While the UAE showcases its exceptional mobile and fixed broadband capabilities, Singapore emerged as the global leader with an average speed of 247.29 Mbps.
In the second quarter of 2023, Etisalat, a prominent telecom player in the UAE, took center stage by achieving the fastest median download speeds for both mobile (216.65 Mbps) and fixed broadband (261.98 Mbps).
Etisalat's dominance extended to 5G as well, boasting the quickest median 5G
download speed at an astonishing 680.88 Mbps, along with the lowest median
mobile multi-server latency at just 35ms.
These outstanding achievements highlight the UAE's commitment to delivering cutting-edge telecommunications services, solidifying its position as a global leader in internet speed and connectivity.
