Xiaomi EV's first model, the SU7, will officially enter the SOP (Start of Production) stage in mid-to-late February to kick off mass production, local media outlet 36kr reported today, citing several industry sources.
Xiaomi EV plans to see production reach around 2,000 units in
March and complete its capacity ramp-up by mid-2024, with
production reaching more than 10,000 units in July, according to the
report. Xiaomi’s first EV revealed in China, to be called
Xiaomi SU7.

Production kicks off after the Chinese New
Year break, concluding on February 19, ensuring a smooth start without

Initial reports suggest a conservative
production target of 2,000 units for March, with plans to ramp up gradually,
reaching an impressive 10,000 units by July.
Xiaomi aims to maintain this production
level post-July, marking a significant step in their foray into the electric

Despite the lack of a specific timeline,
reports indicate that the SU7 Max, Xiaomi's flagship electric car, is estimated
to be priced around $50,950, making it a competitive option in the electric
vehicle market.

the SU7 in late December, expressing the company's ambition to become one of
the world's top 5 automakers within the next 15 to 20 years.
