The Higher
Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan has joined hands with the Hult Prize
Foundation (HPF) to promote and strengthen the culture of social
entrepreneurship among Pakistani youth. In a virtual ceremony, Hazrat Bilal,
the Director General of Research & Innovation at HEC, and Lori Van Dan, the
CEO of Hult Prize Foundation, signed a Letter of Intent to formalize their
collaboration.
This partnership aims to educate and empower Pakistani students about social entrepreneurship, providing them with a platform to tackle global challenges through innovative social enterprises.
Through the collaboration, awareness about sustainable development goals (SDGs) will be raised, and students across Pakistani universities will be offered personal and leadership development opportunities.
The Hult Prize Foundation is renowned for hosting the world's largest competition for game-changing business ideas that address social problems.
Pakistani students have actively participated in the competition in
the past, with some emerging as winners. This collaboration opens doors for all Pakistani universities to actively engage and learn from this invaluable experience.
The Hult Prize Foundation's annual competition comprises multiple
rounds, with the winning team receiving a substantial prize of $1 million in funding to bring their transformative idea to life.
This collaboration between HEC and Hult Prize Foundation heralds an exciting opportunity for Pakistani students, enabling them to make a significant social impact while fostering their entrepreneurial mindset.
