In preparation for the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024, the Pakistan team will embark on a tour to New Zealand early next year, featuring an exciting series of 10 T20 Internationals (T20Is). The PCB's strategic decision aims to provide the best possible preparation opportunities for the highly anticipated tournament.

Fixture: Pakistan Tour to New Zealand:

1st T20I: 12 Jan - Auckland

2nd T20I: 14 Jan - Hamilton

3rd T20I: 17 Jan - Dunedin

4th T20I: 19 Jan - Christchurch

5th T20I: 21 Jan - Christchurch

Details of New Zealand's return visit to Pakistan in April 2024 for five T20Is will be released at a later date.

Exciting Cricket Action and Schedule:

Following the completion of three ICC World Test Championship matches in Australia from 14 December to 7 January, the Pakistan team will head to New Zealand for an intense series of five T20Is.

These matches, scheduled from 12 to 21 January, will serve as a perfect launching pad for Pakistan's T20 World Cup preparations.

Countdown to T20 World Cup: With this additional tour, Pakistan's road to the T20 World Cup gains more momentum. In the lead-up to the tournament, co-hosted by the West Indies and the USA in June 2024, Pakistan will now play a total of 19 T20Is.

Alongside the 10 matches against New Zealand, they will also face off against the Netherlands, Ireland, and England.

Rescheduling for Optimal Planning:

To accommodate the extra T20Is, the PCB, in consultation with Cricket West Indies and New Zealand Cricket, has made slight adjustments to its Future Tours Programmed 2023-2025.

The two ICC World Test Championship fixtures against the West Indies, initially planned in Pakistan for February 2024, will now take place in January 2025.

Similarly, Pakistan's tour to New Zealand for three ODIs and five T20Is, originally slated for January 2025, has been rescheduled to April 2025.

In addition to these thrilling international matches, the PCB has also confirmed that the highly anticipated Pakistan Super League 2024 will take place in February/March 2024. Cricket enthusiasts can look forward to a season packed with nail-biting action.
