Pakistan General Elections 2024 – NA 59 Elections Result 2024.NA 59 is the place where folks in Talagang Chakwal get to pick their representative for the National Assembly. It’s election time in 2024, and the two main contenders for the MNA Seat are Sardar Ghulam Abbas and Malik Roman Ahmad. Mark your calendars – these elections are set for February 8, 2024.
Let’s start with Sardar Ghulam Abbas. He’s a familiar face in
local politics, having served as MPA of Punjab twice and as the District Nazim
of Chakwal from 2002 to 2008. He’s been associated with different political
parties like PMLQ, PPP, and PTI, and currently, he’s running as a candidate for
PMLN. With a good number of supporters, it looks like he stands a good chance
of winning.
On the other side, we have Malik Roman Ahmad, a newcomer to the election scene.
In the past, he worked as an advisor to the CM Punjab during the PTI government
of Chaudhry Pervez Elahi. He’s also the brother-in-law of MPA Hafiz Amar Yasir,
who held the position of MPA and Minister of Minerals during the PTI tenure.
The election symbol for Malik Roman Ahmad is a clock (گھڑیال
Gharial), representing PTI, although the BAT symbol isn’t there due to an ECP
decision. Malik Roman’s track record in Talagang and NA 59 includes involvement
in various projects initiated by Pervez Elahi and Hafiz Amar Yasir. Sardar
Abbas, symbolized by a lion, has the backing of Maryam Nawaz Sharif for the
ticket.
One significant accomplishment of both candidates is the
establishment of District Talagang. Even though Nawaz Sharif promised it in
2013, it was Pervez Elahi who fulfilled the commitment.
As for the Talagang city perspective, Sardar Abbas seems to be facing some
challenges against Malik Roman. People there believe that Abbas, not being from
Talagang originally, might struggle to perform if elected. On the flip side,
Roman, being a resident of Malakwal, has the advantage of being a local.
While Abbas resides in Kot Chaudhrian, an area that saw
development during his Nazim tenure, there’s a twist – his family member,
ex-MPA Sardar Aftab, is not supporting him. This lack of support might pose
some hurdles for Abbas in securing a victory.
Ghulam Abbas is also running in the 2024 elections for PP 22, the
Provincial constituency covering Talagang and Kalar Kahar. His competition
there is Hakeem Nisar, a PTI candidate symbolized by a suitcase. Meanwhile,
Malik Shehryar Awan, an ex-MPA from PMLN in PP 23, is backing Sardar Abbas in
PP 22.
If Abbas pledges to fulfill the promise of District Talagang, which has still pending
since the Caretaker setup, it could work in his favor. However, without this
commitment, winning might be a bit tricky for him.

It seems that Talagang Youth will support PTI candidates in both
PP and NA. They believe that Sardar Abbas is the person who made the hurdle in
the establishment of the District. Now it is time for Talagang citizens whether
they support Malik Roman who is local or Sardar Abbas. Wait until 8th February
for interesting results.
